The Better Future Collective

Every Cosy Buddha piece begins in Jaipur, hand block printed by skilled artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. The pink city gives my little brand so much, and The Better Future Collective is one of the ways I give something back.
What is The Better Future Collective?
Founded by Daisy Fellowes of Kapara London, The Better Future Collective brings together purpose-led brands who work in India and want to create positive social change in the communities where their products are made. The collective's focus is education: specifically, helping girls in Luniyawas, a disadvantaged area of Jaipur, go to school.
Too often, girls here are kept out of education by household responsibilities, family hardship, or simply a lack of support. The collective has partnered with Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan, a school providing free, safe, high-quality education along with meals, books, stationery, footwear and transport so that going to school is genuinely possible for every girl, whatever her circumstances at home.

My part in it
I sponsor three schoolgirls at Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan, covering the cost of their education and everything they need to attend. It's a small thing that means the world: three girls in the city where my textiles are printed, in school, learning, with everything they need.

The collective's impact so far
Together, the brands of The Better Future Collective have sponsored over 120 girls and raised more than £31,000 for the school. I'm in wonderful company - the collective includes many small, independent brands who, like me, make their products in India and believe the communities behind them deserve to share in the success.
How you can help
There are around 200 girls at the school, and every one of them needs financial support to keep learning. If you'd like to help:
Donate directly. Every penny goes straight to the school - nothing is taken out along the way. You can give via the collective's fundraising page: Support Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan.
Spread the word. Learn more about the collective and the other brands involved on Kapara London's Better Future Collective page and if you run a brand working in India, consider joining.
