Blue Stripe Lobster Block Print Napkins Set of Four

Our much-loved lobster returns in inky blue on a soft blue and chalky white stripe. Hand illustrated exclusively for Cosy Buddha by British artist Cate Wise, before being hand block printed by artisans in Jaipur.

This small collection is available to pre-order and will be ready to deliver from Monday 8th June. Opening pre-orders allows us to produce thoughtfully and avoid overproduction, while also giving you first access to limited runs. If demand is high, we’ll move straight into a second round of printing, so your order helps shape what comes next.

Each one is printed by hand using carved wooden blocks and naturally derived pigments, a slow process that has been practised here for generations. Subtle variations in the print are part of the beauty, a reminder of the skilled hands behind every piece.

The playful inky blue lobster motif adds a relaxed, slightly whimsical feel to the table. Perfect for long lunches, summer suppers and slightly chaotic family meals where the table is full and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Because we work slowly and sustainably, only a few of each print and size are available, making every cloth as special as the gatherings it will host. Due to the lengthy time it takes to hand print and air dry these pieces, this collection is extremely limited.

Every piece is printed entirely by hand, so no two are ever quite the same. You may notice small variations in the print: a softer edge here, a faint tide mark where one block meets the next. These aren't flaws; they're the signature of the human hand, and what makes your piece one of a kind.

Care Note - Please Read

The natural pigments in our hand block printed cotton will mellow and soften over time, especially strong, deep colours. This is part of their handmade charm, but to keep your colours at their best for longer, wash sparingly and always very gently.

To keep your piece at its best:

• Hand washing is recommended.
• If machine washing, use a delicates cycle at 20-30°C maximum.
• Wash with mild detergent only: no bleach or harsh chemicals.
• Air dry only, out of direct sunlight.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Iron on a cool setting, on the reverse side.
